The Battle Plan: Pray, Fight, Trust

The Battle Plan — Pray, Fight, Trust — with the verses 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Ephesians 6:11, and Ephesians 6:13

Every believer is in a battle. Not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces that war for our peace, our families, and our faith. The good news is that we are not sent out unarmed or without a plan. Scripture gives us a simple battle plan, and at Battlefield Assembly we come back to it again and again: Pray. Fight. Trust.

Pray — without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Prayer is not the last resort; it is the first move and the constant posture. To pray without ceasing is to walk through the day in ongoing conversation with the Father, bringing every burden, every decision, and every thanksgiving to Him.

Fight — put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11). We do not fight in our own strength or with our own weapons. We put on what God has provided: truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Fully armored, we are able to stand against the schemes of the enemy.

Trust — having done all, stand (Ephesians 6:13). After we have prayed and after we have fought, there is a holy stillness: we trust. We stand. We do not run, and we do not despair, because the victory belongs to the Lord. Our job is to remain standing in Him.

This is the rhythm of the overcoming life. Pray without ceasing. Put on the armor and fight. And having done all, trust the One who fights for you — and stand.
