What Does “Messianic” Mean?

Messianic — Yeshua at the center (John 4:23)

If you're new to the term, “Messianic” can sound unfamiliar. At its heart, it's simple: a Messianic congregation worships Yeshua (Jesus) as the promised Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world, while honoring the Hebraic roots of the faith.

The whole Bible is one story. The Messiah did not come to start a brand-new, disconnected religion — He came to fulfill what God had been promising since Genesis. So we read the Scriptures as one unfolding story, from the Torah and the Prophets to the testimony of the apostles, with Yeshua at the center.

In practice, that means we treasure things many believers have never been taught: the Sabbath, the biblical feasts (the appointed times), and the Hebrew names and context behind the words we read. None of these save us — salvation is by grace through faith in Yeshua alone — but they enrich our understanding and draw us nearer to Him.

Most of all, “Messianic” means Messiah-centered. Everything we do points back to Yeshua: His life, His death, His resurrection, and His return. We gather to worship Him in spirit and in truth, and to grow up together into the people He's called us to be.

Have questions? That's wonderful — bring them. We love to walk alongside people who are exploring the Hebraic roots of their faith for the first time.
